With that in mind, I’m searching now for a late model Ford GT350 to compare the Z06 against. They look pretty sparse on the ground now that they are not the newest thing anymore. But the 500 hp, the flat plane crank sound and decent track chops combined with the lower depreciation price for some 2016s seems like it would be worth a consider.
However, both new and used in my area, supplies seem to have dried up. I might have to settle for checking out a new one.

And why must you torture us by test driving such desirable cars and making us jealous? I shall await your review post nevertheless.

I love the look of these, and the noises they make, and the smiles they put on reviewers’ faces, but apparently they consume oil like crazy.

Well, that’s not fun. Thanks for the tip - I should go check out some forums.

I’d think a new GT350 would be worth the cost over a used one, just to ensure somebody else didn’t beat the crap out of it .
Make sure you add a Hellcat Challenger to the list, in the interest of doing proper science.

700 HP seems like something that should be tested for reproducibility via the scientific method.

I think you can get a "new" 2017 for $60k CAD at a local dealer because no one is buying them.

Check out the C&D long term test - it’s close to a quart every 1000 miles.

I saw! Honestly, I think that might be too much oil burn for me. But, it sounds like a dream to drive, if I can arrange a test.

The S65 in my M3 (similarly high strung engine) can also eat a lot of oil.

I never had oil burn in my 25 year old 8000 redline NSX, but I guess that’s Honda for you? I r arely checked the dipstick because whenever I did, the levels were always good.
